LARA. the beginning.

This is my first thriller, which I published under the pseudonym THEA WiLK. It made it into the top 100 on the first day and was on the Bild bestseller list after three weeks.

What do you do when the shadows of the past chase you along with those of the present?

In the middle of winter. A house by the sea. On a deserted beach.

For Lara's friend Bobbi, it sounds like paradise. Lara herself does not want to inherit her grandfather's inheritance. She does not want to go back to the house from which he banished her eighteen years ago. She does not want to get to the bottom of the causes of her nightmares.

But she lets Bobbi persuade her. And at first the cold sea and the loneliness feel right, overshadowing the oppressive feeling she gets when she sees the old wooden walls. Until the power goes out. And the tracks in the snow no longer belong only to the two women...

Spring. Life goes on. But not for Lara.

It has been three years, four months and two days since Lara took Bobbi down the stairs. Since then, she has organized her life to be the better of Bobbi if they ever meet again. She has set up daily routines to bring about that meeting, and in doing so, she has found a clue.
When she receives a stack of postcards from her caretaker that can only have come from Bobbi, she decides to follow the trail. But she doesn't just come across Bobbi. And she isn't the only one on the hunt either.

Summer. Everything has an end. At some point.

He's dead and his body has to go. But that's not Lara's biggest problem.
She doesn't know who she can trust. Nevertheless, she has to believe the words of the three people around her because they all have the same goal: to bring the men behind the black books to justice.
First, the corpse whose phone is constantly ringing must disappear. But a solution is found quicker than Lara would like.
