The sixth sequel to my debut novel “When you leave again”.
"It's just that sometimes things turn out differently than we can imagine. We just have to give them time. There's no point in forcing anything. Neither with your dad nor with Alia."
"You didn't do that?"

Lu and Nik enjoy their free Christmas morning, while the children decorate the tree with Oliver and everyone waits for Lou and Marc to arrive with Ben and Jonas from the airport to the small town by the sea. But the closer this moment comes, the more difficult thoughts come to the forefront for Lu. Her father, who seems to have been at the limit of exhaustion for weeks and refuses to cut back on work. And Alia, who cannot manage to break away from Ben, even though a future together seems out of the question. But in the evening, suspected pneumonia forces Ben to take his son to the hospital with Oliver, where Alia is still working. She will not leave the hospital for the next few days.
