Summer 1974. Nici and Kate are 17. Isolated from the hustle and bustle of the big city and the hustle and bustle of the 1970s, they spend six weeks with their grandparents in a small village in the mountains. Kate travels from West Berlin, Nici from Bremen. As in so many years before. It could be their last summer together and yet: Nici would have preferred to stay with her boyfriend Tommy. She would have preferred not to see Kate that summer. Between the downpour, cherry cake and an old camera, she then recognizes in Kate the familiar soul she has loved since childhood. And she could almost forget what happened last summer...
